oc blogger bash

If there was a city I would call my second home since early childhood it would be Anaheim. I grew up in a amusement park obsessed family and spent a lot of time running amok in Anaheim. So many memories of an old drive in movie theatre with a swap meet as well as a bowling alley we would frequent in Anaheim.

As a teenager I had a pass to Knotts Berry Farm so I rang in New Years with Snoopy as well as watched friends freak out at Knotts Scary Farm. I was a Disneyland passholder and hung out in Tomorrowland and did Swing Dancing in Carnation Plaza. My Dad, brother and I had many nights watching the Anaheim Ducks.

As an adult I do much of the same but add the fantastic restaurants and exciting nightlife in Anaheim. I also get to experience all my childhood memories with my kids all over again which is pretty freaking amazing.

After networking with lots of local Bloggers I found out about the OC Blogger Bash and this event amped up my love for this city even more!

The OC Blogger Bash was across the street from Disneyland at the Anaheim Convention Center so that added to the radness.

It isn’t easy getting a sitter as a Single Mom and I always have Mommy guilt when I am away. So my brother taking the kids to Disneyland while I was at the event across the street couldn’t have been more perfect.

The 1960′s Madmen theme gave everyone an excuse to dress super classy. I grew up a tomboy and dress in ways that What Not to Wear would have a field day with me so fashion isn’t on the forefront of my mind. I do enjoy dressing up though I often feel awkward. I embraced it with some of my vintage goodies.

There was a fashion show by Queen of Heartz, ManCandy… I mean… The Daily Hot Guys passing out candy, lots of giveaways, a fun DJ and amazing food!

I won $75 at RASushi and a one night stay at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach with a Spa treatment for two! Can this single Mom get a double session!? I also received swag that included two admissions to Knotts!

My favorite part of this event was the picture booth by The Photo Booth Pro. Rad acts of silly! I should have grabbed every person in the room at some point and taken pics with them. The green screen was pretty awesome and I love that The Photo Booth Pro can offer a lot of options because of it. We took a picture partying with Snoopy AT Disneyland which made that picture hilarious. The quality of the pictures is great in both print and the download… I was able to access the pictures from the event that night! Super impressive for a silly picture taking uber geek like me.

Thanks to all that made this event possible!
