Final Week of My Fitness Diary aka I Heart Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012

This is my final week of Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 diary but I am going to continue to talk about my fitness progress with this game.

When I started this I thought it was going to end up requiring a lot of work and I was worried that I wasn’t going to see results.

I mean really when you think about losing weight with a video game that seems silly… too good to be true! Right? Wrong.

So very wrong.

In my first week I let you all know I started at 167lbs… this is the heaviest I’ve ever been without a baby brewing inside me. Actually just before this I was up to 171lbs. I knew I needed to lose weight but wasn’t making the time for it and wasn’t making the right lifestyle choices.

So this began a couple days before thanksgiving and I continued to make the time for Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 during the holiday madness.

Honestly it was a rad outlet. I had so many days when I was really frustrated. I was able to box out my frustrations, wind down with yoga, get my booty handed to me in a bootcamp and workout with my kids all from the comfort of my own home and on my own time.

It didn’t feel like I was working out. I was just picking the activities that I needed most at the moment and for the time I had.

It was glorious.

Earlier this week I have friends over who wanted to check out the game. We played this game for almost an hour! The multiplayer games are much more fun than I anticipated especially with a group of VERY competitive people. They will soon be owners of this game because they liked it so much.

We were all very sore the next day because we over did it but that is also a sign of a great workout!

This game has a fitness track for everyone. The best recipe for success is going to be determined on the player. Also, don’t let more than two days pass without playing… just make time for it! When I stopped thinking about it as a fitness program and more like a game… one that I had to win a lot of points like a greedy little point gnome.. I was flying through it.

My pants are falling off of my butt and I’m glad I have extra Christmas cash to get some new clothes. I’m down 11lbs and in the 150’s again… I also feel great. Like, really great. I honestly think I would have lost more weight had I not done this during the holidays when I spend a month eating with my family and friends!

I’m stoked to be starting the new year ahead of my New Years resolution!
